It wasn’t the most convincing win, but it was a win, and we haven’t had one of those in a long, long time. Perhaps the most important thing to take from the match is Nilmar got his first Liga goal, which will surely give confidence to a guy who has been getting more and more dangerous as of late. The goal was a thing of beauty, starting with Marcano’s defensive work, and then the link-up between Llorente, Escudero, and Nilmar.
The defense is still a liability, though. Today, Javi Venta was beaten on the lone Malaga goal, but the goal was not all his fault. The cross came in from an umarked man on the left, and there was little Venta could do.
The entire team conceded a lot of ground to Malaga at times during the match, and Villarreal were lucky to hold onto the win after giving Malaga more possession and a number chances in the last 20 minutes.
But it was a win, and I am in no mood to complain.

No more easy games, the competetion from here on out gets tough again….
As I said earlier ……Players under Valverdeer have no confidence……….not a good sign…what do they do in training…………………..?
it’s same mistakes again and again….
There are too many issues …….and today win was just smoke screen
against a low quality team….
His subs are weird and it took him 8 games to give Escudero a chance?
Also, he switches too many formation during the game… the team played scared in the last 10 minutes…..pegged… back vs. Malaga…….
Pathetic site to see @ Home .
Does Roig really care for his investment? because I don’t see Valverdeer as an answer… Maybe Villarreal Mgmt is happy just to be in La Liga for 10/11
. Oh well………………..that’s how I see……………
And please don’t tell me , another qaulity coach can’t change this team……
because that’s BS
